Matthew: The King and His Kingdom is a twenty-four week Bible study unpacking the Gospel of Matthew. In it, we see Jesus as the awaited Messiah who fulfills the promises and prophecies of the Old Testament, establishes the New Law, and inaugurates the kingdom of heaven.
In this study, you will:
· See how Jesus fulfills God’s promises to Israel and establishes his kingdom on earth.
· Understand the references to the Old Testament promises of God to his people and the messages God sent them through the prophets.
· Be given the key to understanding the rest of the New Testament and Christ as the fulfillment of God’s plan.
· Discover how Jesus is challenging and empowering us to a new level of holiness and shows how we must be thoroughly immersed in the kingdom of heaven on earth, the Church, to live it.
Ss. Edward and Isidore will begin Matthew: The King and His Kingdom on Thursday, April 25th at 9:30am until 11am (please note that the study will be an hour and a half). Participants will meet every week in the Marian Room to view an engaging video presentation followed by a time of lively group discussion and fellowship.
