PARISH SECRETARY JOB OPENING Saints Edward & Isidore Parish is seeking to hire a Parish Secretary. This position is responsible for providing administrative support for the parish staff and coordinating parish communications. This is a benefit-eligible position of 32-36 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
Answer incoming calls and greet visitors/guests to the parish office, directing them as needed.
Coordinate and maintain the parish master activity calendar (e.g. Masses, events, meetings, weddings, funerals, baptisms) for the parish staff and parishioner communications.
Manage the parish website and social media sites and collaborate with the parish staff to create and maintain content.
Create and prepare effective parish communications, to include designing and developing content for weekly bulletins, periodic newsletters, digital message boards, information materials, signage, and banners.
Maintain the parishioner database for accurate and current recordkeeping and parishioner information. Coordinate additions/changes/deletions/verifications with other parishes and the diocese when applicable.
Maintain and record sacrament records in database, files, and sacramental registry books as required by the Diocese of Green Bay (i.e. Baptisms, Weddings, Deaths, RCIA)
Other administrative duties include scheduling Mass intentions, maintaining the parish office supplies inventory, assisting with scheduling and filing necessary paperwork and certificates for weddings and baptisms, contacting volunteer teams to coordinate funeral luncheons, maintaining the door security and HVAC scheduling systems, distributing incoming mail and other materials, preparing the Parish Annual Report, and other duties as assigned.

Practicing Catholic or willingness to become familiar with the Catholic Faith.
Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree or beyond preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Publisher, Excel), Internet skills, and use of office machines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as cordial professional conduct and excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to organize clearly, multi-task in several areas, and communicate with multiple groups of people.
The ability to maintain confidentiality is a must.
