The Longest Day of Prayer & Awareness of Alzheimer's Disease, Parkinson Disease, and Other Related Dementias

Come and pray for all people dealing with these diseases. We continue to pray for a cure. A Purple Candle will be lit at Mass and then extinguished after Holy Hour at 8pm. During the day, anyone can come to pray in church, attend a presentation, or
experience a support group.
Donations for the Alzheimer's Association and Wisconsin Parkinson Association will be accepted in Resurrection Hall throughout the day.
The Church will be open for prayer from 8:45 am to 8:00 pm. All speakers and support groups will be in Resurrection Hall.
Schedule for the Day:
9:00 am-9:30 am - Mass 9:45 am-10:45 am - Presentation
"Pearls for Living with Parkinson's Disease: Tips to Make Your Day Better" presented by Dacy Reimer, APNP, MSN, CCRC Movement and Memory Disorders. 11:00 am-12:00 pm - Parkinson Disease Support Group
All are welcome to discuss Parkinson Disease and learn about resources.
12:00 pm-1:00 pm - Lunch Break
Feel free to pack a lunch to bring. Sorry, no lunch will be provided.
1:00 pm-2:00 pm - Presentation
"All Cards on the Table: Challenges and Joys of Caring for a Loved One with Early Onset Dementia" presented by Rob Sutherland. Rob will share his story of caring for his wife diagnosed with Early Onset Dementia at age 56.
2:15 pm-3:15 pm - Alzheimer's Disease/Dementia Caregiver's Support Group
All are welcome to support, learn, and share together.
7:00 pm-8:00 pm - Holy Hour (church)
End the day with the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, beautiful music, scripture, and silent prayer. The purple candle will be extinguished at the end of Holy Hour.
